Ukhrul district CSOs seal DC's bungalow

Ukhrul, February 11 2025: A day after shutting down the offices of Ukhrul DC, SDO and SP, the Tangkhul Frontal Organisations on Tuesday sealed the DC's official quarters/bungalow.

A statement issued by the Media Cell of the TNL & its frontal organisations in formed that they have sealed the DCs official quarters as part of the agitation launched against what they termed as an unwarranted manner in which DC Zuringla Kengoo has been ordered to hand over charge within less than 24 hours' time.

Earlier on Monday, the offices of DC, SDO and SP had already been locked to put government official activities to complete halt in response, to the failure of the authorities concerned to give any positive response to their demand despite repeated reminders, it said.

The statement continued that the CSOs have made their stand loud and clear that they would continue their agitation and even in more intensified form till their legitimate demand, which is registered for the sole interest of the public, is met.

"At this crucial juncture when adversary's quest for scrapping of Free Movement Regime and enforcing Border Fencing along the entire Naga inhabited borders is looming large, we Nagas should never accept our God-given honour, dignity, self-respect and identity getting trampled upon in whatsoever manner and by the powers that be," it added.
