Career counselling drive held at Khongsang

Noney, December 10 2021:
A career counselling drive for the local youth was conducted by Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) at Khongsang village in Noney district on Friday.
The drive was conducted with an objective to make youths of the village aware of different job opportunities as per their interest and educational qualifications.
The drive focused on giving correct guidance to the youths as they possess many talents and potentials.
The drive began with an opening session on career counselling wherein the youths were enlightened about various career options available.
Emphasis was given for both academic and non-academic careers and for those interested in joining the armed forces, an educative and encouraging video was displayed.
The troops educated the participants on various methods of joining process in the Indian armed forces while online job portals of India were also introduced to apply in different public and private sectors of the country.
Pamphlets with information of relevant websites were also distributed to the participants.
Youth of all age groups participated in the drive and it provided an opportunity to both students and job seekers to clear their queries.
The drive concluded with distribution of sports items, writing materials and refreshments.
During the event COVID protocol were strictly followed and masks were also distributed to all.
