Konung Mamang road in most deplorable state

Roads in Konung Mamang, which lies in the heart of Imphal city, are in most deplorable state making commuters to think twice before passing through.
The situation persists even though Centre had sanctioned multicrore fund under Imphal Smart City project.
Though the state government boasts of its re cent projects like Kangla Nongpok Torban and Kangla Nongpok Thong, the roads next to these landmarks bear a sense of rebuke especially at times of rainfall.
One can see the bad shape of the roads in Konung Mamang area in Imphal East just after crossing the Santhong (Konung Mamang Gate).
These roads are full of potholes.
Roads leading to officer colony, which has official residences of MLAs and bureaucrat officers that lies on the western side of City Convention Centre also has full of potholes and water inundation.
The roads surrounding the Konung Mamang traffic island including the Wankhgei-Kongba road are also in similar condition.
These roads are filled with dusts on sunny days and dirt on rainy days.
Konung Mamang to Porompat road is also full of potholes up to Ananda Singh Academy.
People are facing great difficulties while community through these roads.
Moreover, these roads do not have streetlamps making it more dangerous to commute during night Apart from these, other key roads like Dingku Road (in front of ISBT), Kangabam Leikai and Wahengbam Leikai road, Khoyan-thpng-Nagamapal Road, Ayangpalli Road, and Singjamei Mayengbam-Kakwa Road are also full of potholes.
