Imphal, January 09 2025: The proscribed-People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-Progressive (PREPK-Pro) clarified that the Party and its military wing Red Army are unrelated with Taorem Premkumar alias Nanao (26) Of Sunusiphai Mayai Leikai, who was arrested by a team of Manipur police on January 7.According to a PREPAK-Pro statement issued by assistant publicity secretary L Ningsingba, security forces in Manipur should abandon the now-familiar practice of arresting innocent civilians and branding them as cadres of revolutionary groups.

Urging security forces to stop harassment of innocent civilians, the statement advised security forces not to derive satisfaction from self-glorification by apprehending innocent civilians.
