NCC 'commander' visits Ccpur schools, colleges

Imphal, October 07 2024: NCC Imphal headquarters group commander Brigadier SR Sharma visited Churachandpur College, Rayburn College, Rayburn School and JNV in Churachandpur district on Monday.

According to PRO Defence, during the visit the group commander interacted with principals and teachers of the institutions and discussed modalities, challenges and way ahead for organising NCC training programme so as to make it a successful event.

The group commander addressed the NCC cadets and school fraternity, emphasising on the importance of national integration and progressive involvement of the youth in nation building.

He also dwelled upon the role of NCC cadets in growth of society and further elaborated on the deep philosophy and relevance of the motto "Unity and Discipline", especially in present scenario.

The event culminated with NCC Song that enshrines the sound values, the PRO informed.

NCC is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world that relentlessly work towards youth empowerment and instilling discipline by conducting regular training, the PRO conveyed.
