Myanmar-origin liquor seized in Churachandpur

Imphal, November 06 2023: Security forces seized large quantity of Myanmar-origin liquor from two individuals at Khuga check post in Churachandpur district on Sunday.

As per PRO IGAR (S), 2424 bottles of Myanmar origin Jockey Gold liquor and 885 Bottles of brand Juntus Beer loaded in a mini truck were recovered by the security team.

The apprehended individuals along with the seized items and vehicles have been handed over to Churachandpur police station, the PRO added.

Meanwhile, another search operation conducted by security forces at Nagaljang and Songdoi in Churachandpur district led to the recovery of 1728 bottles of Myanmar origin Jockey Gold liquor, the PRO informed, adding that the recovered liquor consignment has been handed over to Singhat police station for further legal proceedings.
