PWD employees allotted quarters told to submit relevant papers

Imphal, June 05 2022:
Employees of Public Works Department (PWD), who have been allotted government quarters, have been asked to submit relevant papers including their permanent address and order of current place of posting, to the officer concerned within 20 days.
Addressing a press meet in this regard at the department's office, Khoyathong here on Sunday, PWD chief engineer Khuraijam Tomba informed that as per the instruction of the Chief Minister, verification of all the 1846 quarters under the department are underway to ascertain whether the allotted quarters are being occupied by the employees or sublet to non-employees.
So far, 10 employees have been suspended for subletting their allotted quarters.
The quarters of the department are spread at Lamphel, Langol Housing Complex, Langol Game Village, Babupara, Tribal Colony, Sanjenthong, 2nd MR, DM College Campus and Majorkhul.
Efforts are being made to identify the allottee residing against the Quarter Allotment Rules, he said, while appealing to all employees of the department who have been allotted quarters to support the verification process by submitted proof of their permanent address and order of their current place of posting along with other relevant documents to the authority concerned.
