Sora committee destroys seized intoxicants

Thoubal, August 04 2024: All Sora Clubs' Coordinating Committee (ASCCOC), Sora on Sunday set on fire intoxicating items its volunteers recovered during drive against drugs.

After destroying the confiscated drugs at its Sora Bazar office premises, ASCCOC general secretary Makakmayum Risky Shah told media persons that the contraband items were recovered during the drive carried out from January onwards.

Appealing for public support to its efforts to save the future generations from falling prey to the drugs menace, he also cautioned that anyone found selling intoxicants in the village will be dealt with suitably by the Committee.

During the burning of the narcotic substances, the villages raised slogans to make Sora intoxicant-free, banish drug dealers from Sora, etc.
