JCCFRLCCK formed over declaration of Heibok Ching as reserve forest

Imphal, November 01 2024: Days after the state's cabinet decision on October 23 to declare Heibok Ching as reserved forest, a committee christened 'Joint Coordination Committee against the Forest Reservation of Langthabal Chingkha, Langthabal Chingthak and Langthabal Khoupum Ching (Hill) under 68 Heibok Ching (JCCFRLCCK)' was formed on October 29 in a meeting held at Langthabal Chingkha community hall.

As per a release of JCCFRLCCK, the meeting held under the joint initiative of Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland), Rongmei Naga People's Organisation (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland), Zeliangrong United Committee, Manipur and Kabui Mothers' Association, Manipur resolved that the head office of Committee will be at Zeliangrong Union Building, Kakhulong Paona Bazar.

The meet also appointed 10 executive members for JCCFRLCCK including Mei-bon Phaomei as convener; Sebastian Kamei, Ranjita Golmei and Achung Phaomei as co-conveners; Gondaimei Chaningai as secretary; and Gairinlung Kamei as treasurer.
