Imphal, December 29 2024: Sahitya Thoupang Lup organised the Imphal Literature Festival at the auditorium of State Central Library in Keishampat Nityaipat Chuthek here on Sunday.

As part of the festival, "Pon" a poetry book penned by Shreth Chongtham Meitei in both Meetei Mayek and Bengali, arid "The Vale of Verse", a lyrical book translated into English by Wangthoi Khuman were released.

The festival was attended by Language Planning and Implementation director Laishram Radhakanta and MU School of Humanities ex-dean Prof N Aruna as chief guest and president respectively.

In his speech, Sahitya Thoupang Lup advisor Saratchandra Thiyam informed that the main goal of the festival is to promote the rich language, literature, culture and history of Manipur to the world.
