Imphal, August 28 2022: In connection with Manipuri Language Day celebration, Iramdam Meeyamgi Apunba Khorjei Lup (IMAKHOL) organised its 7th Poem recitation competition at Manipur Press Club on Sunday.

The programme was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal president Longjam Joychandra Singh, IMAKHOL president Dr Chingangbam Chandrakala and Quad Writers, Moirang president Salam Tomba as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

In all, 30 competitors in the age group of 15-30 years participated in the competition with Ningthoukhongjam Nobinchandra, Ningombam Bidyarani and Maibam Saishta respectively adjudged winners of the first, second and third position.

Cash prize of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 along with certificates were presented to the top three winners while seven consolation prize winners received a sum of Rs 300 each and certificates.
