Imphal, March 26 2025:
Reacting to reports published by some state dailies that a meeting of all political parties resolved to oppose the proposed delimitation process in Manipur, Naga People's Front Manipur State Unit (NPF/MSU) clarified that the Front will not oppose the delimitation process in the state if and when officially initiated.
In a release, NPF/MSU explained that on receiving an invitation for the all political party meeting, its general secretary Honreikhui Kashung and one of his colleagues joined the meeting hoping that it will be an avenue to discuss the road map to bring peace and normalcy in the state.
During the meeting held on March 25 at the NPP conference hall, Naoremthong Imphal, Honreikhui Kashung briefed the gathering that as per theCEO Manipur's inference in a meeting on March 25 afternoon there is no any official conveyance from ECI to the CEO Office Manipur.
However, the NPF/MSU is appalled by the irrelevant reports in local newspapers wherein it was stated that all political parties resolved to oppose the proposed delimitation process in Manipur.
Therefore, the party is compelled to clarify that the NPF/MSU would not oppose the delimitation process in the state if and when officially started, it added.
