Covid claims 2 more lives in Bishnupur, 56 test positive

Imphal, May 25 2021: Bishnupur district is witnessing an upsurge of Covid-19 cases, as the infectious disease claimed two more lives on Tuesday taking the district's total toll to 82.The two deceased - both males aged 80 and 67 years old - passed away at RIMS and Bishnupur district hospital respectively.

According to a daily bulletin released by Bishnupur district information officer, 56 new Covid positive cases, including 35 females, were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 434 till date.

With reference to report of the Bishnupur CMO office, the bulletin said that 274 patients are undergoing home quarantine, 10 at Isolation Ward of district hospital, 36 at Covid care centre and 114 others admitted to hospitals out of the district.

Bishnupur present has a cumulative number of 2369 COVID positive cases both from first and second wave.
