MLA Susindro allays vaccination fear

Imphal, June 24 2021: District Administration, Imphal East and CMO Imphal East under the supervision of Khurai AC MLA L Susindro carried out a mass vaccination programme at Moirang Kampu Awang Leikai Puri Puraba community hall on Thursday.

Beneficiaries who came to the community hall to get vaccinated were presented with 5kg of rice each by the MLA.

Speaking on the occasion, Susindro explained that the ongoing mass vaccination programme being carried out by the government is for the sake of the people and urged all concerned to abandon all fears related to the vaccine, while further urging the people to contact him if they come across anyone who are reluctant to take the jab.

Assuring of helping such people to understand the importance of getting vaccinated against Covid, the MLA said that any lapse in the matter would only bring more hardship to the people.

He then said that the Delta variant of the virus was recently detected in the state and the third wave is likely be caused by a Delta plus variant, which is expected to hit some states soon.

Additionally, it is said that the third wave would be far more dangerous for children.

As such, everyone must get vaccinated to stay safe from the virus, he contended.
