MSF finds school conducting tuition at Thoubal

Imphal, May 24 2021: Singa Upper Primary School in Thoubal district was found conducting tuition at its campus during this critical juncture.

Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) Thoubal District Committee visited the school following a reliable report of tuition being conducted at the school, the volunteers found that the reports were true and even the headmaster of the school was personally involved in it.

The volunteers found that the teachers were conducting classes as if there was no pandemic going on and no SOP were being observed, putting lives of the students at risk.

MSF questioned how a government school can conduct classes when the whole state has been affected by the second wave of the pandemic.

New Covid cases in the state has been increasing rapidly and number of deaths has been increasing daily.

If one of the student in the tuition centre was found positive, all the student, their families and localities will be gravely affected and who will take responsibility for such carelessness, added MSF.

MSF demanded strict actions against teachers and staff involved in such acts of carelessness and for putting the lives of the people at risk for their own selfish motives.
