Homage paid to mortal remains of Longjam Sachikala

Imphal, July 22 2022: Many paid their last homage and floral tributes to Late Longjam Sachikala alias Naobi, a prominent member of Roadside Vendors Welfare Association who passed away suddenly yesterday at her residence at Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai.

The mortal remains of Longjam Sachikala was brought to Khwairamband Keithel New Temporary Market today and members of Roadside Vendors Welfare Association led in paying homage to the eminent women leader who participated actively in all the major issues of the State.

Women vendors of Ima Keithel and members of different organisations also joined in paying homage to the departed women leader.

The attendees recounted and held in highest regard the significant contributions of the departed leader who strove earnestly for the welfare of street vendors.

It is worth mentioning that Sachikala also played a major role in the Construction of the new Khwairamband Keithel New Temporary Market.

The Roadside Vendors Welfare Association also extended gratitude to the Police Department for their support in today's homage paying ceremony.
