Arms, ammo recovered from Kpi, Ccpur

Imphal, January 21 2025:
Search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts of the state by security forces led to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition on Monday.
According to a press release issued by police control room, security forces recovered one locally-made cannon (Pumpi), one double-barrel bore gun, one .303 rifle with a magazine, one locally-made 9mm pistol with a magazine, two No.36 hand grenades without detonators, four live rounds of 16 bore ammunition, and seven blank rounds of 7.7mm ammunition from Maohing village under Kangpokpi Police Station in Kangpokpi district.
In a separate operational PK Park, Torbung, under Churachandpur PS in Churachandpur district, security forces recovered one 9mm sub machine gun with a magazine, one .303 rifle with a magazine, one smoke grenade launcher, two pistols with two magazines, one single-barrel breach-loaded gun, one country-made mortar (Pompi), four hand grenades without detonators, four smoke grenades, and five rounds of 9mm ammunition.
