Anish Ahamad runs solo marathon in Shillong

Imphal, December 18 2021:
Anish Ahamad of Kwakta Municipal Council Ward No 7 ran a solo marathon under the theme 'Save Forest Save Wild Life' organised by Green Universal Foundation India under the sponsorship of Sheikh Brothers in Shillong city, Meghalaya on Saturday.
The run was flagged off from Assam Regimental Centre (ARC) Main Gate, Shillong in, the presence of Shillong Manipuri Students' Union president Chongtham Thangamba Meetei, National Youth awardee Khangembam Lilachandra of Kumbi and international awardee and Green Universal Foundation India president Dr Huidrom Romen.
In his 40 km long run, Anish Ahamad passed through various parts of Shillong before finishing the run at the CM Secretariat, Meghalaya, where he was felicitated by chief minister Conrad Sangma.
The CM also gave him an appreciation certificate in honour of his mission to save nature and humankind.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Conrad Sangma expressed that Anish Ahamad's solo run in Shillong city with the message of 'Green India, Green North East, Green Meghalaya' is very much acknowledgeable and should be encouraged.
He also, wished Anish to hold more such runs in other parts of the country.
