Kakching, October 18 2021: Commemorating the International Day for Eradication of Poverty, Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch organised a cycle rally on Sunday in Kakching.

The cycle rally conducted on the theme 'Building forward together: Ending persistent poverty, respecting all people and our planet' began from Kakching Bazar Irabot Park and passed through several areas of Kakching and Chandel districts and finally concluded at the park.

Speaking to media persons in connection with the rally, Kakching High School Matric Batch president Naorem Munal informed that the rally was part of the ongoing month-long activities of the organisation.

On the International day for eradication of poverty, the rally was taken to spread the message of eradicating poverty from the society, he added.

"We can escape from the grips of poverty by working together, educating everyone and living in a healthy environment," he remarked while urging the people to conserve environment and plant trees for the future generations to come.
