Army, Assam Rifles celebrate Holi; sweets, colours shared

The Indian Army organised a special Holi celebration on Thursday, distributing sweets and colours to families taking refuge at Mandop Yumpham relief camp, Sardar Patel relief camp and nearby villages.
Understanding the challenges faced by displaced families, the Army ensured that the essence of Holi was not lost amidst hardships.
Traditional sweets were distributed, while vibrant colours added to the joyful atmosphere.
The initiative not only provided much-needed relief but also fostered a sense of normalcy and celebration among those affected by displacement.
Holi, a festival that signifies victory of good over evil and the spirit of togetherness was made even more special as children and families came together to celebrate with renewed hope.
Villagers and camp residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the Indian Army's unwavering support in times of need.
Assam Rifles also organised Holi celebration at Sehlon village in Chandel district on Thursday with the participation of 174 individuals including village chiefs, eminent personalities, and locals from neighbouring areas.
According to PRO IGAR (S), Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil, and commemorates the victory of devotion and righteousness, inspiring individuals to embrace positivity and harmony.
The celebration at Sehlon echoed this sentiment, as people from different walks of life came together, setting aside differences and rejoicing in the spirit of togetherness.
