Cong should declare Kakching AC candidate: Y Nilachandra

Kakching, November 12 2021: Intending Congress candidate in Kakching assembly constituency Yengkhom Nilachandra has urged Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) to declare its candidate for Kakching AC at the earliest.

Speaking during a meeting convened for formation of his Election Steering Committee at the residence of Yengkhom Bihari at Kakching Mayai Leikai on Wednesday, Y Nilachandra stated that as there are a number of people who are-aspiring to contest election as Congress candidate from Kakching AC it has caused confusion amongst Congress voters.

This is also hampering the candidates inlaunching all-out campaign for the election which may make Congress party weak in the constituency.

As such, MPCC must announce its candidate as soon as possible so as to solve this conundrum, he added.

The meeting participated by various people from Kakching, Sora, Irengband, Bijoypur, Pallel, etc, also formed advisory and monitoring, finance, meeting arrangement and publicity & propaganda sub-committees under the guidance of Election Steering Committee.

Block Congress Committee Kakching president Ksh bohal, Kakching AC Polling 37/34 Polling Committee president MV Abdul Halim and Yengkhom Bihari attended the meeting as presidium members.
