Painter helps Covid positive colleague

Imphal, June 12 2021:
Painter Michael Meitei Konthoujam, who lost both his legs in a bomb blast, helped another painter named Dorendro Thoudam, who is undergoing treatment of Covid-19 at Raj Medicity by donating the sale proceed of one of his artworks on Saturday.
Michael lost both his legs in a bomb blast that took place at Pourabi Lamkhai in December 2007 .
Since then, he has been living with prosthetic legs.
On knowing the condition his fellow painter, Michael uploaded a post on his Facebook account for selling his collage artwork titled 'Nature-5' on Friday.
He got several offers for his artwork and one Lekhajit bought it for Rs 16,500, Michael said and added that he was happy to be able to help Dorendro during this crisis period.
