Cong state leaders meet Priyanka Gandhi

State's Congress leaders including Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president K Meghachandra and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Okram Ibobi met Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi to highlight the prevailing unrest situation in the state, on Tuesday.
During a meeting at the official residence of Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, in New Delhi, Manipur Congress leaders, including Meghachandra and Ibobi urged the newly elected MP to intervene and extend full support in resolving the crisis in Manipur, which has continuing for over 18 months.
The half-hour discussion focused on the current situation in the state, with Priyanka listening attentively and patiently.
The state leaders also expressed gratitude to national party leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, for their continued support for the people of Manipur.
Present at the meeting were deputy CLP leader K Ranjit, chief whip Th Lokeshwar, for mer ministers M Okendro and Dr Kh Loken, MPCC working president Md Fajur Rahim, vice president Hareshwar Goshwami, and former MLA Md Amin Shah.
