Army observes World Mental Health Day

Indian Army on Thursday held a series of activities to raise awareness about mental health in the northeast region on World Mental Health Day.
According to a PRO Defence release, Spear Corps warriors conducted a mental health workshop and panel discussion at Government Higher Secondary School, in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh.
Simultaneously, at Leimakhong Military Station, the Indian Army organised health lectures for troops and their families.
The session, attended by 45 women, 13 JCOs, and 48 ORs, emphasised the importance of a healthy mind for a healthy life.
Medical officers and religious teachers from the Indian-Army highlighted the signs of mental distress and ways for managing everyday challenges, said the PRO.
