Distribution of Covid relief items continues

Imp/Tbl/Kak, June 10 2021: In continuation of the assistance provided to the people, volunteers of the Heirok Block Congress Committee COVID-19 Fighting Unit distributed essential food items to the households in the containment zone of Heirok Assembly Constituency today.

Essential food items were distributed today to the households in the containment zones of Polling Number 33/10-Ukhongsang Maning Leikai, 33/11-Ukhongsang Makha Leikai, 33/15-Salungpham Kangyambem(B), 33/16-Salungpham Kangyambem (A), 33/17-Salungpham Kangthokchao Awang Leikai, 33/37-Salungpham Kangyambem Leikai and 33/38-Salungpham Kangthokchao Makha Leikai under Heirok AC while conforming to COVID-19 protocols.

Meanwhile, Khangabok AC MLA, Surjakumar Okram and Thoubal AC MLA, Okram Ibobi jointly provided monetary aid along with PPE kits, face masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, etc to the volunteers of 'Thoubal Kendra Covid-19 Aid' and 'Anti COVID-19 Committee, Khangabok' today.

As a part of the Seva Hi Sangathan Phase-2, social worker Kharibam Jivan handed over essential food items to Thoubal Khunou Meirapaibi and Pioneer Unified Club to distribute to the people of Thoubal Khunou under Wangkhem AC.

Kharibam Jivan also handed over relief items to SEVACO Club for distribution in Phouden, Thoubal Haokha, Kiyam Siphai Babu Bazar Maning, Charangpat, Wangkhem Muslim and Haokha Mamang Konjin Leikai.

BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson, Dr Nimaichand Luwang and BJP Wangkhem Mandal president, L Sunilkumar, as a part of the Seva Hi Sangathan Phase-2 also distributed oximeter, steam inhalers, face masks, face shields and food items to the households in the containment zone of Wangkhem AC.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nimaichand Luwang highlighted the importance of COVID-19 vaccination in the fight against the pandemic and urged the public to follow all the SOPs mandated by the Government.

He also mentioned that the State Government has been working tirelessly to combat the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic while adding that the fight against the pandemic won't be successful without the support and assistance of the public.

Similarly, former candidate of Manipur Legislative Assembly Election for Wabagai AC, social worker, Mayengbam Ranjit Singh in association with the volunteers of Covid Task Force also distributed essential food items to 200 households in Home Isolation of Wabagai, Keirak, Kakching Chumnang Leikai, Phoushupat Leikai and Kakching Turel Wangma under Wabagai AC.

Besides, as a part of the Seva Hi Sangathan Phase 2, MP, Rk Ranjan Singh and BJP spokesperson, Wilubou Newmai also distributed rice and other relief materials to the needy people and students from hill areas at Kanglatongbi.
