15 teachers honoured at Literacy Day event

Imphal, September 08 2022:
On the occasion of observance of International Literacy Day, Rotary Club of Imphal honoured 15 teachers with the National Building Awards.
The observance was held on the theme of Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces' at the Bhavan of the Club, Mantripukhri on Thursday.
The Nation Building Awards were presented to 15 teachers from Zone I, II and IV of Education Department under the Teach Programme of the Club.
The teachers include Nongmaithem Gautam Singh and Jackson Naorem of Eastern Ideal High School, Akampat; Khundrakpam Binodkumar of Sajirok Primary School, Konthoujam; Khuraijam Biswajit of Moirang Khunou Primary School; Sanasam Ibocha of Laikon Upper Primary School; Yumnam Somorendro of Samushang Shantipur Upper Primary School; Khagembam Thoinuhenbi Chanu of Y Tampha High School; Mayanglambam Hemjit of Lamphel High School, Khurai; Kangjam Vimi of Kumari High School; Koijam Machasana of Ghari Upper Primary School, Ghari; Laishram Kiran of Yumnam Khunou Junior High School; Konthoujam Raghumani of Kiyamgei Ideal High School; Mumtaz Begum of Urup Awang Leikai Primary School, and Chingkheiton Huidrom of Chingangbam Leikai Upper Primary School.
Nongmaithem Gautam Singh of Eastern Ideal High School, Akampat was recently conferred the national award to teacher.
The function was attended by IPR commissioner M Harekrishna, assistant governor Zone 12 Elendro Thoudam, CLCC W Rabichandra and Club president Pramod Jaiswal.
