Kangpokpi, September 08 2021:
Chiefs of Nengthiching and S Lonphai villages have conveyed heartfelt gratitude to political activist Nehminthang Haokip, who intends to contest the upcoming state assembly election from Henglep AC, for repairing the long neglected road that connects Khoirengtak Khunou and S Lonphai villages.
Village chiefs Khuptinlal Singson (Nengthiching) and Khoplensang Singson (S Lonphai) stated that the said road links Khoirengtak Khunou, Nengthiching and S Lonphai with the rest of the world but nobody cared to maintain the road for the past many years.
The two chiefs continued that Nehminthang Haokip is the first person who without any appeal or request from the public came to repair the road with great concern for the grievances and hardships of the people.
They also noted that such leader is rare nowadays as only promises without action loom large in the society and sugar-coated lips rule.
While lauding the intending candidate, both the village chiefs also prayed for his success in his future political career.
