Revoke transfer of RD&PR joint secretary Ng Roben: Committee

Thoubal, August 07 2023: PRIs Adhoc Committee Manipur has urged the government to revoke the transfer order of RD&PR joint secretary Ng Roben as deputy commissioner Jiribam, stating that time and situation is not right for such a process.

Addressing a press meet at Wangjing-Tentha CD Block office, DC Thoubal complex on Sunday, Committee spokesperson & Khangabok Zilla Parishad ex-member Kh Rajamohan said transfer of a sincere officer like Roben at a time when the state is in crisis will lead to collapse of the RD&PR Department.

Mentioning that Roben's transfer amid his concerted efforts to distribute job cards to displaced people staying in various relief camps is not reasonable, he reiterated that the government should rescind his transfer order.

The press conference was also attended by Charangpat Zilla Parishad ex-member Ph Heramani.
