Imtiyas JAC warns of intense protest

Thoubal, September 04 2024: With identification of the body fished out from Thoubal River on September 2 established as one Meraimayum Imtiyas Khan (20), son of MM Najir Khan of Yairipok Tulihal Water Supply, a public meeting organised by Tulihal Idigah Youth Organisation on Wednesday formed a JAC in this regard and resolved to launch intense protest if authorities fail to find the truth about the suspicious unnatural death of Imtiyas within 48 hours.

Speaking in this regard, JAC co-convenor Meraimayum Mohd Rafi denounced 'brutal killing' of Imtiyas and added that the identity of Imtiyas was known only through the family photo found on his body.

While recounting that he went missing after leaving for work following his participation in a marriage ceremony on August 20, Rafi demanded authorities concerned.
