Aid extended to cyclone-hit families

Bishnupur, August 04 2024: Along with inaugurating a newly renovated public hall at Nambol Sabal Leikai, a function to distribute cheques to families affected by cyclone Rental in May was held at Nambol Public Hall, on Saturday.

In all 1987 households affected by the cyclone were handed over cheque (dummy) of Rs 10,000 each at the function held with education minister Th Basantakumar and Bishnupur DC L Bikram Singh as chief guest and president respectively, and Nambol Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Ch Basanta Singh and Nambol SDO S Indrajit Singh as guests of honour.

Speaking at the event, minister Basantakumar assured people of his constituency affected by the cyclone monetary assistance from the government along with informed that the ministry concerned will be approached to develop the road stretch from Nambol Sabal Leikai to Ishok, Naorem, Waheng Khuman and Sanjenbam to double lane.
