AR organises national integration tour

Imphal, December 03 2023: Tamenglong Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) flagged off a National Integration Tour to New Delhi for students of Indigenous Women and Children Foundation, an orphanage in Tamenglong, on Sunday.

As per a release, Tamenglong Battalion commandant interacted with the children prior to flagging off the tour.

The event was also attended by caretakers of the Foundation, teachers, guardians and civil society organisations.

The Tour is being organised so that the children from Tamenglong can experience the cultural diversity and scientific advancement in the national capital.

In all, 23 students, accompanied by two teachers and six AR personnel including one officer, are participating in the tour, it added.
