Bodies condole landslide victims

Imphal, July 03 2022:
All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO), Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Manipur State, Tamenglong Village Chiefs' Association, Manipur State Shumang Lila and Theatre Mirror expressed deep condolences over loss of many lives in the tragic landslide incident at Makhuam village, of Noney district.
In their condolence messages, the bodies also extended solidarity to the bereaved families and prayed that Almighty God will bestow upon them comfort, strength, and peace.
They also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the locals and the rescue workers for their relentless service to locate the missing persons.
Manipur State Shumang Leela and Theatre Mirror on Saturday organised a joint condolence meetingat Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound with the solemn event also participated by artistes of the Khongjom Parva' workshop at the same venue.
Meanwhile, NSCN-IM 'Zeilad Region National Workers' extended their "heartfelt condolences and sympathies" to the bereaved families of the victims, injured and others affected by the landslide at Makhuam Part 5 village on June 29.A note issued by caretaker CAO DG Robert said that their prayers are with those deceased families and relatives who had lost their "loved and precious ones" on this tragic landslide.
"We continue to pray for those who are still missing as a result of this natural disaster and for eternal peace to the departed souls and also wish for speedy recovery of the injured in the tragic incident", the note added.
