CRPF holds CAP events at Koutruk

Imphal, January 03 2025:
Under the aegis of CRPF Manipur and Nagaland Sector 1G Dr Vipul Kumar, and supervision of 120 Bn CRPF commandant Rajeev Lochan, C Company of the battalion installed solar street lights and distributed sports items at Koutruk village in Imphal West district on Friday.
According to a statement issued by CRPF, three solar streetlights, complete with LED lights, solar panels, batteries, and poles, were installed at the village while volleyballs and nets were distributed to the local youths.
As a part of the distribution function, cultural troupes of the village presented traditional dances and folk songs followed by commandant Rajeev Lochan distributing prizes to participants of the cultural events as the village chief expressed gratitude to CRPF, emphasising the significance of such events for the local community.
Earlier addressing the gathering, commandant Rajeev Lochan opined that such initiatives would help strengthen coordination and communication between the public and security forces, assured the villagers of continued support and expressed hope for normalisation of the situation through joint efforts.
Second-in-command of 67 Bn Sanjeev Kumar, assistant commandant Sujoy Gouli, inspectors Rakesh Kumar Choudhary and Hussain Siddiqui, along with Koutruk village leaders such as village committee president Brajen Singh, Koutruk Apunba Youth Club secretary Romen, and Koutruk Youth Development Club secretary Nimai also attended the programme, participated by around 150 villagers, the statement added.
