Kakching, July 01 2022: Representatives of different clubs, associations, organisations and CSOs based in Kakching district attended a public meeting organised by Kakching Municipal Council at the conference hall of the council on Thursday.

The meeting discussed inconvenience and difficulties faced in taking up development projects in the newly created Kakching district owing to encroachment on government land by private individuals.

The meeting chaired by Kakching Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Naorem Sanjitkumar re solved to identify existing state land and encroachment on government lands.

It also decided to extend support to steps taken up by relevant departments for eviction of the encroachers and preserving the state lands so that development works could be taken up without any hindrance.

The meeting also appreciated initiatives taken by Kakching Municipal Council for taking up development works.
