Imphal, October 31 2021: Governance by BJP both at the Centre and in the state has made every sector to move backward in addition to looting the poor people in the name of providing free COVID vaccine while hiking prices of cooking gas and fuel, alleged former minister Dr Kh Ratankumar.

Dr Ratankumar stated this during a felicitation function for Mayang Imphal Municipal Council Ward No 9 councillor election candidate Siraj Ahmed Wangmayum and Mayang Imphal BJP Mandal former president Md Sirajudin Dolaipabam.

Both Siraj and Sirajuddin left BJP to join Congress.

Addressing the gathering at the function held at Mayang Imphal Bengoon on Sunday, Dr Ratankumar said that every state ruled by BJP is moving backward in every sector and India's economy is now behind neighbouring Bangladesh and Nepal while BJP ruled Manipur government is now facing overdraft of around Rs 200 crore.

Above all these, legitimate rights of minority Muslim are being denied in the attempt to convert India into a nation of the Hindus only though different communities are living in the country, he added.

MPCC working president K Meghachandra, who also attended the function, said that reservation enjoyed by minority Muslim during the Congress government has vanished under the BJP rule and this would add suffering to Muslim community.

The function was also attended by former minister I Hemochandra and other state Congress leaders.
