Imphal, September 29 2024:
Joint Action Committee (JAC) Education (S) MTS Written Test Completed 2016-2018 Batch has urged chief minister N Biren Singh and education minister Th Basanta Kumar Singh to frame a policy for saving careers of MTS candidates, who missed the selection after waiting for the result for 7-8 years.
In a release, JAC general secretary Laishram Ibomcha Singh contended that in-spite of the CM and the education minister assuring additional number of MTS posts in addition to officially approved 413 vacancies, the posts specified in the result of the said recruitment were fewer than the mentioned 413 posts, with 4 per cent reservation for people with disability (PWD) also not adhered to.
Categorically stating that many who appeared in the written test are now ineligible to apply for other gov ernment jobs due to age bar, primarily due to non-declaration of result for over seven years, the JAC also demanded that the government make public reason for non-disclosure of names of the selected candidates.
The JAC cautioned of initiating legal action against the government authorities in case their demands/proposals are not considered positively.
