Sit-in protests transfer of MO in-charge

Imphal, August 28 2022: ASHA workers along with locals staged a sit-in protest at Kshetrigao on Sunday against the transfer order of Kshetrigao UPHC MO in charge Dr Jahangir.

Speaking to the media, an ASHA worker informed that Dr Jahangir, since his posting at the UPHC has been working tirelessly for the development of the centre.

Being a generous doctor, he is loved and accepted by all, she said.

Stating that the doctor was posted at Kangpokpi and Sen-apati from 2006 till 2012 and at Wangjing from 2013 till 2021, she pointed out that the doctor has been posted at Kshetrigao UPHC for only 8 months.

While pointing out that as per the government policy every government employee should be posted in a particular place at least for three years, she urged Health minister Sapam Ranjan, MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan and the authorities concerned to look into the matter and revoke the transfer order.
