Imphal, July 25 2022: The Investigating Officer of the death case of Arambam Nanao submitted a report to the Court stating that the expert opinion from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory Kolkata has been sent to the Department of Forensic Science, RIMS for providing final opinion on the cause of death.

The report was submitted during the hearing of the bail application filed by the suspended SI of Imphal police station Thokchom Jitendro (41), s/o (L) Gopal of Heinoukhongnembi Thokchom Leikai.

During the hearing APP sought more time to submit his report after getting the final opinion from the Department of Forensic Science, RIMS.

The Court, after hearing allowed the prayers of the APP and postponed the hearing till July 29 awaiting the final opinion on the cause of death.

Mention may be made that accused Thokchom Jitendra is presently lodged in Manipur Central Jail Sajiwa since May in connection with the death of Arambam Nanao on May 2 and had filed the bail application before the Court on June 2 .
