Imphal, June 25 2021: Under the aegis of MPCC president Govindas Konthoujam, Tamei Block Congress Committee opened its new office at Tousem HQs under Tamei assembly constituency on Friday.

Earlier, MPCC team distributed food materials to residents of different villages in the area.

MPCC member Dr Aku and members of Tamei BCC attended the office inauguration function and relief material distribution programme.

MPCC general secretary (administration) Hareshwar Goswami, who attended the function expressed happiness over the launch the party office and said that it will help in a great way to Dr Aku, who would be contesting the next state assembly election on Congress ticket.

Regarding the distribution of food materials at Aben, New Kandihang, New Mandu, Old Mandu, Tousem, Phaklong and Tagoram villages, he said that MPCC has been extending help to the crisis hit people during the pandemic and the distribution was taken up as part of the Covid-19 relief campaign of the party.

He thanked Dr Aku for his active role in making the distribution of relief materials a success.
