Kakching, April 23 2022: As in every year, the 131st death anniversary of Wangkhei Meiraba, who got martyred in Anglo-Manipuri War-1891, was held at his memorial site located at Machin Manao Ching, Kakching on Saturday.

The anniversary function jointly organised by People's Museum, Kakching and Major Wangkhei Meiraba Poila Memorial Committee in Coordination with Justice Committee Anglo-Manipuri War 1891 Martyrs and Freedom Fighters, Kangleipak (Manipur) was attended by People's Museum Kakch ing founder cum director Mayanglambam Goura chandra, Justice Committee Anglo-Manipuri War 1891 chief consultant H Ibotombi Khuman and Macha Chanu Kakching president Dr Nongmaithem Pramodini Devi as presidium members.

The function was marked by offering of rich floral tributes to Wangkhei Meiraba Poila and his unknown colleagues who attained martyrdom in Anglo-Manipuri War and observance of two-minute silence in their memory.
