AR conducts mobile vaccination drive

Imphal, June 22 2021: In collaboration with Health Department of Kang-pokpi district, 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/IGAR (East) carried out mobile COVID-19 vaccination, sanitization and awareness drives at Panikheti village in Kangpokpi district on Tuesday.

In a release, PIB Defence informed that the medical team of 44 AR along with village COVID Task Force volunteers carried out sanitization of all prominent places like school, community hall, religious place and public place of the village.

They also sprayed disinfectant around these places and various cut outs, banners and posters on COVID-19 were displayed to spread awareness on the pandemic.

The medical team along with PHC T Waichong facilitated on the spot registration of first dose of vaccine and 200 vaccine doses were administered to the beneficiaries of 18 years and above age category, it added.
