TAKDAL observes first foundation day

Thoubal, July 21 2024: The first foundation of Thoubal Amasung Kakching District Apunba Lup (TAKDAL) was observed at Devi Mandop community hall, Wangjing SK Leikai on Sunday.

With an objective to participate in bringing solution to the violence that broke out on May 3, 2023 and extend all possible help in restoration of peace and normalcy in the state, 125 clubs, organisations and meira paibis of Kakching and Thoubal joined hands and formed TAKDAL.

The foundation day was attended by TAKDAL chairman Dr Y Bheigyachandra, convenor Jotinkumar Waikhom, advisors and members including N Modhu, K Michael, Dr Renu Devi, Y Rajendra, L Subash, Sh Tamphamani Devi, Dr Ak Brojen, N Munal Meitei, Dr Ng Devekarna, Dr N Rajivkumar and Kh Jiton as presidium members.

A two minutes' silence was also observed as a mark of respect to all those who died in the on-going conflict.

During the observance, the speakers deliberated on measures to end the conflict.
