JNIMS, Dental College celebrate foundation day

Imphal, December 18 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) celebrated its 17th foundation day and JNIMS Dental College its 8th anniversary at the auditorium of the Institute on Wednesday.

The celebration was attended by JNIMS director Prof Longjam Usharani as chief guest, MS Dr Kh Lokeshwar as president, while JNIMS Dental College principal Nidarsh D Hegde and dean (academics) Dr Supriya Laiphrakpam were the guests of honour.

In her speech, Dr Usharani said that the annual celebrations had been subdued a bit in view of the prevailing situation in the state.

She said that the Institute is not only providing a place for the students in the state to pursue MBBS but also helping to address the shortage of medical professional and appealed to all concerned for concerted efforts in taking the Institute to the next level.

As part of the celebration, JNIMS' annual magazine, "Nongin" was released by the chief guest and dignitaries.

The celebration was also attended by teaching and non-teaching staff, nurses and students of JNIMS and its Dental College.
