Imphal, July 16 2024:
Political parties including BJP and Congress do not unite in other parts of Manipur but all political parties in Keirao AC work together particularly in development and welfare of the people in the assembly constituency except during election time, stated Keirao MLA L Rameshwar.
MLA Rameshwar, who is also PDA chairman, distributed school bags along with folding table and health kits specially designed by IIT Kanpur and Unit of Science and Educational Development (UNISED) and sponsored by Oil India Limited to students of different schools in Keirao AC on Tuesday.
During the distribution function held at Kyamgei UP School, the MLA claimed Keirao AC is different from other assembly segments of the state as political parties are working together in development and welfare of the people.
"As per verbal understanding agreed earlier to work together except during election time, MPCC general secretary Wahidur has been communicating with me all the time and working together in development activities.
The unique school bags attached with folding table and health kits distributed on Tuesday were brought after Wahidur communicated with IIT Kanpur and Keirao AC is fortunate to get 27,000 school bags of unique design," he said, adding that there is also plan to organise medical camp for flooded affected people in coordination with IIT Kanpur and UNISED.
The function also attended by MPCC general secretary Wahidur and other leaders.
Regarding the ongoing violence, MLA L Rameshwar said that everyone should work at their level, be in Parliament, in assembly or in other areas to strengthen the integrity of Manipur and bring peace in the state instead of hurling accusations through the social media.
