Will join protest only after PM report: Lup

Imphal, February 16 2025: Apunba Thangmeiband Meira Paibi declared that it is not related with the statements of the family of late Ngangbam ongbi Debala of Khoyathong Pukhri Achouba Mapal, who recently died while delivering baby.

Addressing a press meet at Rising Knowledge Club, Khoyathong here on Sunday, Meira Paibi Lup co-convenor Konsam Reena said the Lup asked the victim's family to wait until they receive the post mortem report before resorting to any form of protest.

Unfortunately, the family members made a statement to the media saying that they would launch protest in association with the Meira Paibi Lup, without the latter's knowledge, she said while calling it unfortunate.

She clarified that the Meira Paibi Lup will join the protest after receiving and studying the post mortem report, and add ed that any protest before the post mortem report is not related with the Lup.
