60K-plus yet to take 2nd dose: DC Thoubal

Thoubal district deputy commissioner A Subhash Singh has informed that the district has more than 60,000 people who are yet to take their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking during a flag-off programme of five vans of Covid Vaccination Express organised by District Health Society at the DC office campus on Friday, A Subhash called upon the public to inform the department and officials concerned for carrying out the vaccination, if there are 20 or more people who are yet to receive the vaccine.
He also urged the public to extend their support so that all the eligible people receive the Covid vaccine by December.
The DC continued that the vans have been provided by the chief minister to extend the last mile service to people who cannot come to vaccination centres and the vans will start working from Friday onwards.
District immunization officer (DIO) Dr Ksh Memcha Devi said that on the first day the five Covid Vaccination Express vans will fan to areas under CHC Heirok, PHC Wangjing, Health and Wellness Centre Khangabok as well as parts of Moijing and Lilong.
