Many resonate with joy at AR's HGT event

Kangpokpi, August 11 2022:
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating the 75th anniversary of India's Independence, 22 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR conducted Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign here on Thursday.
In connection with the campaign, a mega event was also organised for the residents of Kangpokpi at Brig M Thomas ground, Kangpokpi town.
The event witnessed a massive footfall of more than thousand participants from all walks of life bringing together young and old alike resonating with the joy of India's Independence and celebrating the co-existence of different tribes, clans, and castes unified by the tricolour.
The programme was attended by 22 Sector Assam Rifles commander brigadier PS Arora, 22 Assam Rifles commandant colonel Puneet Atwal and other AR officials apart from Saikul AC MLA Kimneo Haokip Hangshing, former ADC Sadar Hills chairman Haokholal Hangshing, civil society organisations of Kangpokpi, village chiefs, Kangpokpi Town Committee members, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organisation, Kangpokpi Youth Union leaders, etc.
The grandeur of the event was amplified by a combined display of military pipe band and jazz band of 22 Assam Rifles which mesmerised both the audience and the guests with their performance.
The congregation also enjoyed various songs including popular Kuki number like 'Kapu Kapa Gam', Manipuri songs like 'Nungshirure eina', and various other songs of Nepali, Hindi, etc., played by the Assam Rifles band during the event.
It was followed by cultural performances including Kuki cultural dance, Nepali cultural dance, and an enthralling hymnal from TBA Keithelmanbi Choir.
The participants were seen holding the tricolour and enjoying in the event.
