Killing of RK Rabei: JAC formed

Imphal, September 07 2024: A public meeting was held at Leikoi community hall, Moirang in Bishnupur district on Saturday in connection with killing of RK Rabei of Moirang Phiwangbam Leikai on Friday in the rocket attack by Kuki militants at the residence of former CM M Koireng in Moirang Mairembam Leikai.

The meeting resolved to constitute a 'Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the brutal killing of RK Rabei by Kuki narco terrorists" .

As per a release by the JAC convener, other resolutions adopted in the meeting included filing of an FIR and submission of a detailed report regarding the case to the Governor through DC Bishnupur, not to claim the body till Kuki narco-terrorist are fully expelled and public can live in peace, to press CM and authority concerned for replacing central forces by state forces and to consult with the Moirang MLA for translating these resolutions into action.

The meeting also resolved that if the demands of the JAC are not put in to action by the government within five days then intense agitation would be launched with support from the public, it further mentioned.
