Biswajit calls for cultivating work culture

Works and RD&PR minister Thongam Biswajit has called upon Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the state to cultivate work culture and contribute in bringing socio-economic development in the society.
He was attending the launch function of 'Chanura Pad', a product of Leichal Self Help Group and promoted by Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) under the sponsorship of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), Manipur Regional Office held at Thongju Waikhom Leikai, Imphal East on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event, Biswajit emphasised on the importance of cultivating a good and ideal work culture among the people of the state and observed that several SHGs in the state are facing difficulties in repaying bank loans due to lack of work culture.
Today, both the Central and the state governments are taking up various initiatives to promote and support entrepreneurs with the hope that having several successful entrepreneurs will help in addressing the issue of unemployment to a great extent, he said and called upon the SHGs to strive for excelling in their chosen field.
