Kakching, August 05 2024: Kiran Meitei Konthoujam, who launched a backward running campaign with the slogan demanding the central government to restore peace in the state, was felicitated after arriving at Kakching Lamkhai on Saturday.

Langsai Thouna convener Rajiv Kshetri flagged off Kiran's campaign from Kakching Irum Mapal to Wabagai Lamkhai around 8.30 am Sunday.

Kiran, who has already pledged to donate all of his organs to JNIMS reached Kakching Lamkhai on Saturday evening after passing through Irengbam.

Upon arrival, he was extended warm welcome by Kakching denizens, prior to a felicitation programme at Kakching Bazar.

Volunteers of Langsai Thouna shouted slogans to encourage the backward runner, till Wabagai Lamkhai.

Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association (KBB-WA) president Y Rajendra led the Association members, Kakching Keithel vendors and the public in felicitating Kiran at Kakching Bazar, while also extending all necessary help.
